Bombs hurled at police station

KOZHIKODE: An unidentified gang hurled bombs at Chombal police station in Wadakara, just two kilometers away from Minister of State for Home Mullapally Ramachandrans residence. The incident happened last night at 11.20 pm.

No casualty has been reported. The bombs were aimed at Chombal sub inspector Jayan. Four out of the five bombs were hurled at the inspector�s room and the fifth one on to the road in front of the station.

All the five bombs exploded in a loud voice. The sub inspector and his team were on patrolling duty at the time of the incident. It is not clear who is behind the incident.
