Plant nutrient management plan launched

Thiruvananthapuram: Agriculture Minister Mullakkara Ratnakaran has stressed the need to step up soil-related studies in Kerala.

Speaking after inaugurating a workshop on soil-based plant nutrient management plan for the agro ecosystems in the State, Mr. Ratnakaran called for a participatory approach to the project.

He directed officials to complete the soil investigation of paddy fields this year. He also released the draft technical document of the project.

The workshop was organised by the State Planning Board and Department of Agriculture.
