Seven injured in Alappuzha clash

ALAPPUZHA: A seemingly harmless argument and ensuing brawl between students in a local school has snowballed into a major clash between people living on either sides of the Mulgar Bridge in the Beach Ward here. The situation was tense and police were trying hard to bring the area under control when reports last came in.

The fight between the students, which began about two weeks ago, was first raised by their parents in the school Parent Teacher Association meeting and later, it spilled out of the school into the streets of the Beach Ward where the students lived.
