Storage position safe at Sabarigiri: KSEB

PATHANAMTHITTA: When almost all reservoirs of the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) are witnessing alarmingly low storage position in the scorching summer heat, Sabarigiri, States second largest hydro-electric station situated in the eastern forest tracts of Pathanamthitta, has been reportedly placed at a safer position with an effective storage of 47 per cent in its reservoirs as on Sunday morning.

Talking to The Hindu here on Sunday, Deputy Chief Engineer at Moozhiyar Power House Mohammed Ali Rawther said the twin reservoirs of Kakki and Anathode at Sabarigiri had recorded an effective storage of 222.52 million cubic metres (mcm) as on Sunday.
