Thiruvananthapuram: Ramya Antonys cyber friends have risen to the occasion again. The young writer who is undergoing treatment for cancer will soon have a laptop to put her thoughts into words and a modified two-wheeler to travel around.
On Sunday, Friends of Ramya, an expanding circle of well-wishers belonging to the Orkut and Facebook communities, organised an exhibition of paintings based on her collection of poems titled Salabhayanam.
The paintings were done by students of the fine arts college here. B.D. Dathan, artist, inaugurated the exhibition named Niram 2010.
As many as 30 paintings are on display at the Devaki Warrier memorial study centre. T. Radhamany, secretary of the study centre, presided. K.G. Sooraj, convenor, Friends of Remya, spoke.
