IUML, PFI workers clash

KANNUR: Offices of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) and the Popular Front of India (PFI) at Taliparamba here were vandalised on Wednesday following clashes between activists of the rival parties.



Two IUML offices at Taliparamba were attacked in the early hours of Wednesday by suspected PFI activists. Furniture and ceiling fans in the offices were destroyed by the attackers. Local office of IUML mouthpiece Chandrika attached to one of the offices also came under attack.



The trouble started on Tuesday evening when two PFI workers were injured in an attack by suspected IUML activists. It was followed by an attack on the office of the Social Democratic Party of India.
