Stress on building job skills

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Lifelong Education and Awareness Programmes (LEAP) Kerala Mission Project has started functioning. It aims at drastic changes in the literacy programmes with emphasis on job-oriented training and better awareness.

The decision was taken at the fourth general council meeting of the Kerala State Literacy Mission Authority, chaired by Minister for Education M.A. Baby, here on Wednesday.

A LEAP centre will be set up in every panchayat under the project to take care of project activities, according to a press release.
