Workshop on cloud computing

KOCHI: Cloud computing is the latest innovation that has brought computing power within reach of every organisation, offering unprecedented scalability wherein the user can add resources on demand and give them up when not needed, instead of the classical model of over-investing in infrastructure and managing it at a huge cost. It also provides huge cost-effectiveness by providing a pay per usemodel and ensures professional management of the infrastructure.

The Computer Society of India and IEEE Computer Society are jointly organising a three-day workshop on cloud computing, bringing together the major cloud service and applications providers under a single platform at IIT Chennai from August 18 to 20.

Sessions on business value proposition of cloud computing, Research trends in cloud computing and a panel discussion on are we ready for cloud computing along with a few user experience will be part of the workshop.

The workshop will offer the participants a rare opportunity to get a first hand knowledge by hearing from the horses mouth, the specifics both business and technology perspectives of the emerging area of cloud computing.
