TPURAM: The state government has asked the State industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) to conduct a feasibility study on Kochi-Coimbatore industrial corridor project.
This was disclosed by Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan during his weekly cabinet briefing Friday.
The proposal involved development of a string of industry support infrastructure along the National Highway between Keralas business hub Kochi and Tamil Nadus industrial and business city Coimbatore.
The proposal was mooted in the Governors policy address to the state assembly earlier this year.
Meanwhile, the cabinet entrusted work on the Container Freight Station at Kalamassery near Kochi with Kerala State Industrial Enterprises Board
