TPURAM: Assistant Director General of Police (ADGP) Sibi Mathew, who inquired into the allegations over the foreign trip by IG Tomin Thachankary, submitted his report to the chief minister Tuesday.
It is known that the report mentions that the official had violated laws.
Following media reports over the foreign tour by controversial Inspector General of Police (Kannur Range) Tomin J Thachankary, Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan had ordered an inquiry into his foreign trip allegedly without the governments permission.
However, Thachankary, who returned to the state, claimed that he had visited four Gulf countries with his family and senior police officials in the department were orally informed by him about the tour.
He also claimed that he had not availed the Leave Travel Concession (LTC) benefits under the department rules
