OCHI: The Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode (IIM-K), one of Indias top business schools, will set up a centre in Kochi for conducting short-term programmes. It is looking for a suitable location from where the facility can be launched, Debashis Chatterjee, Director, has said.
The IIM-K is conducting short-term leadership programmes for CEOs and prospective heads of companies in Mumbai.
The Kochi centre, in a concept stage, is intended to provide a similar programme. It will be a centre of excellence where special year-long management training courses can also be conducted, he said.
The IIM-K aims at partnering with the government of Kerala to create leaders in education, tourism and health.
It intends to perform the role of a catalyst in the States resurgence, he said.
