BSNL has made an announcement of the commercial launch of India�s foremost fourth generation mobile broadband network at Kochi that makes use of WiMax technology.
BSNL becomes the foremost operator in to launch this service in India.
Wimax can offer speeds of up to 37mbps wirelessly and will be available in to Kerala sooner.
Around 450 base transmitting stations will be set in urban centers of the state and district headquarters. The cost of the complete project is about 100 crores.
