Kerala Labour Minister P K Gurudasan Sunday said the State health Insurance scheme will be expanded by including 30 lakh families.
'Traditional industrial workers will also be included in the scheme, ' he said, adding, there are about 11.78 lakh people covered under the scheme presently.
Speaking after inaugurating the valedictory meeting of the Kerala State General Insurance Employees Union, here, Gurudasan stressed the need for safeguarding public sector units.
He alleged that the Centre's policies were helping the big monopolies violate laws
