The former Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation, G. Madhavan Nair, has been selected for the Sathkeerthi Award instituted by the Puthur Minimol Memorial Charitable Trust. Announcing this at a press conference here on Friday, trust chairman Gokulam Gopakumar said the award carried a purse of Rs.25,000, a citation and a statuette by Kanai Kunjuraman. The award will be presented by Agriculture Minister Mullakkara Ratnakaran at a function to be held at Puthur on March 1.
