THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State government has shifted some of the top-level posts at the forest headquarters here to other centres and reshuffled officers holding various posts.
The deployment of officers to centres outside the headquarters comes against the background of an increase in the number of Indian Forest Service officers holding Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF) and higher posts with no corresponding increase in staff strength at the field level.
The government order, issued here on Monday, said the changes were effected for making better use of the services of the senior functionaries
