Kottayam: Mahatma Gandhi University on Tuesday announced the results of the final year BA degree examinations held in March 2010. Among the 8,259 candidates, who appeared for the exams in the regular and private streams, 5,863 have passed and 1,516 of them secured first class. A total of 1,751 students passed in second class and 2,201 in third class.
The total pass percentage is put at 71 percent.

Malayalam Language and Literature: 1)Indu P. Nampoothiri, 683 marks out of 800, Maharajas College, Ernakulam; 2)Repsy Marium Mathew, 681, St. Thomas College, Kozhencherry; 3)Alphonsa Francis, 678, Nirmala College, Muvattupuzha.
Islamic History: 1)Nabeela Nasrin S., 566, Maharajas College, Ernakulam;
English Language and Literature: 1)Rajasree R., 693, Maharajas College, Ernakulam; 2)Betty Elsa Jacob, 641, B.C.M. College, Kottayam; 3)Sneha Suresh, 640, St. Teresas College, Ernakulam
