Kozhikode: The three-day cultural programme, �Snehasangamam, being organised by the district administration as part of the renovation of the Tali temple and the Mishkal mosque, will conclude with a cultural procession�Mahaghoshayatra� here on Saturday.
The procession proclaiming the cultural heritage of Malabar will be flagged of by Tourism Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan at 3 p.m. Two processions starting from the Tali temple and the Mishkal mosque simultaneously will converge at the Pushpa Junction before it move to the Mananchira Square, the venue of the cultural meet.
Caparisoned elephants, camel, horses, band troops, ornamental umbrellas, Thalappoli, floats of different historical events connected to Malabar, traditional martial arts and folk and religious art forms will be showcased in the procession.
The cultural evening will be attended by Ministers M.A. Baby, Elamaram Karim, Benoy Viswom, Prime Ministers principal secretary T.K.A. Nair and M.K. Raghavan MP among others. A host of programmes, including Ghazal concert, devotional songs, Mappila Ramayanam and a magic show, will be conducted as part of the event.
