Five children rescued

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As many as five children working at a restaurant in the city were rescued in a lightning inspection conducted by Labour Department officials here on Saturday.

The five boys hail from West Bengal. The raid was conducted by a team led by District Enforcement Labour Officer C.K. Sreekumar as per the directions of Labour Commissioner C. Raghu. The boys were handed over to Juvenile Home authorities, an official statement released here said. It said action would be taken against the restaurant owner.
