THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government is planning to provide interest-free loan to vegetable cultivators, Agriculture Minister Mullakkara Ratnakaran has said.
While replying to questions in the Assembly on Friday, Mr. Ratnakaran said interest-free loan was now being given for paddy cultivation. This would be extended for vegetable cultivation too. A commodity market network with a corpus of Rs.10 crore would be formed to ensure the price stability of various crops, including pepper, ginger, coffee, cocoa and vanilla.
