KSEB releases water into Pampa

PATHANAMTHITTA: The Kerala State Electricity Board released water into the Pampa from the Kullar dam on Sunday night in view of the acute water scarcity in the foothills of Sabarimala.

The Kullar dam waters reached Pampa by Monday forenoon. It was a relief for the Ayyappa devotees visiting the temple during the 10-day annual festival.Devotees had to forego their customary holy dip in the Pampa as the water level in the river had come down drastically.

The release of water was following the intervention of Chief Commissioner of Travancore Devaswom Board K. Jayakumar
