PALAKKAD: IG Mohammed Yasin said a probe will be conducted into the death of the accused, the main suspect in the murder of Sheela Jayakrishnan at Puthur in Palakkad, in police custody.
Talking to reporters in the district, Yasin said the police are ready for any kind of investigation, but a decision on what kind of investigation should be conducted will be decided only after getting the post-mortem report.
The official said that they dont have anything to hide. Alathur DySP T S Santhosh will investigate the case. Steps will be taken if any mistakes have occurred on the side of the police, he said.
