Maharashtra Chief Minister worships at Guruvayur temple

Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan and his family members offered worship at the famous Sree Krishna temple here Saturday.

After offering prayers, Chavan made a symbolic gift of an elephant to the presiding deity, Lord Guruvayurappan.

It has for long been a practice for devotees to donate elephants to the temple. These days, the offering can be done by symbolically by remitting the amount for an elephant calf to the temple coffers.
