KANNUR: The Entrepreneurial Development Club (EDC) formed by students of the Commerce Department of Payyannur College has entered into a marketing initiative as part of its �Earn while you learn� programme.
The initiative, in association with the Kerala Dinesh Beedi Central Cooperative Society, allows the students to get a practical experience in marketing as they introduce various products of the society�s different units such as Dinesh Foods, Dinesh Umbrella and Dinesh Bedsheet. An additional benefit is that they get to earn some money that they can use for their studies, Head of the Department P.V. Premavalli said.
The club, formed in 2003 with the assistance of the District Industries Centre, is also involved in various activities, including academic and extra-curricular.
