KOCHI: The Indian Premier Leagues (IPL) Kochi franchise got the approval of BCCI and the contract would be signed today.
The special advocates team of BCCI had given approval to the document submitted by the Rendezvous Sports World Ltd on the ownership of the team.
The signing of the contract was postponed to today because of the absence of BCCI President Shashank Manohar.
The documents were submitted at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai by a five member team headed by Shailendra Gaekwad, the chairman of Rendezvous consortium. The team had a one hour long talk with the BCCI officials and the officials furnished a written statement of their approval. And the Kerala IPL teams signed in the franchise deal.
