Chandy: take over Comtrust

Kozhikode: Leader of the Opposition Oommen Chandy has asked the State government to immediately take over the Comtrust factory and its land.

Mr. Chandy was inaugurating a one-day fast observed by Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee president Ramesh Chennithala in front of the factory on Tuesday.

He said the fast was a protest against the acts of various land mafias taking control over public property in many parts of the State.

The Leader of the Opposition dared the government to order a comprehensive investigation into the allegation that the Comtrust land was sold to a private society.
