Traya Retrospective Film Festival from May 17

KOCHI: Traya, a non-profit organisation, will organise a five-day Traya Retrospective Film Festival, from May 17 in which eight selected films of Malayalam actor Gopi will be creened.

Speaking to reporters here on Monday, Malayalm film director Lal Jose, Chairman, Traya, said besides screening films of Gopi, there would be seminars, debate, photo exhibitions, music and plays during the festival. There would be open forums involving artists who have worked with Gopi, he said.

Reputed Directors Adoor Gopalakrishnan, K G George and actos Om Puri, Mammootty, Mohanlal, Thilakan, Nedumudi Venu and Sreenivasan are expected to participate, he said.

The films to be screened includes Yavanika, Kodiyettam, Kattathe Kilikkoodu, Palangal, Sandhyamayangum Neram, Kallan Pavithran, Chidambaram and Panchavadippalam, he said.

The festival would conducted in May every year, he said.
