Kerala high court yesterday deferred to next week taking up PILs regarding the revision of bus fares.
A Division Bench, comprising Chief Justice S R Bannurmath and Justice Thottathil B Radhakrishnan, said taking into account that the Cabinet Sub-Committee met yesterday to look into the report submitted by National Transportation Planning and Research Centre (NATPAC) on revision of bus fares, the case need not be considered yesterday.
Government Pleader produced the copy of the NATPAC report in a sealed cover.
Three PILs had been filed challenging the proposed revision of bus fares in the wake of a recent strike by private bus operators demanding hike in fares.
