Protest against new medical course
The Indian Medical Association and various service organisations of doctors have protested against the Union government�s decision to launch the Bachelor of Rural Medicine and Surgery, a rural MBBS course of three-and-a-half years� duration, claiming it will create two classes of medical graduates. A joint action council of doctors and doctors� service organisations have decided to observe Friday as �black day� in protest against the move.
