Order to reinstate CESS Director

The Kerala High Court on Monday stayed the government order directing the Centre for Earth Science Studies (CESS) to relieve M. Baba from the post of its Director and ordered his reinstatement in service. The interim directive came on a writ petition filed by Dr. Baba challenging the government order. The government had issued the order on December 31 after allegations about his qualifications had surfaced in the media. He said that a committee appointed by CESS had cleared doubt about his qualifications.
