Paul murder: two knives recovered

ALAPPUZHA: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Crime Unit, Kochi, which is investigating the Paul Muthoot George murder case, arrested two more persons on Wednesday in connection with the case from Mannancherry here.



The two, Siddique and Ismail, who are now the 26th and 27th accused in the case, were arrested on charges of attempts to destroy crucial evidence in the case. The 28th accused, Anish, who is also the son of Ismail, is absconding. Two knives, allegedly used to kill Paul, have also been recovered by the CBI team.



According to sources, fourth accused Aby, who had allegedly hired the gang led by Jayachandran from Changanassery, which allegedly killed Paul after an altercation, had handed over the knives used to kill Paul to Anish after the murder. Anish, in turn, gave them to his father who passed them to Siddique
