TPURAM: The doctors of medical college hospital have called off their strike following an assurance from Health Minister P K Sreemathy that attacks towards them would be protected. The minister said that an act protecting them would be implemented soon.
The doctors, who began the strike last Thursday, agreed for talks with the minister as it entered the fourth day. Doctors are observing black day Monday in protest against the attack towards them after a patient died at the hospital Sunday.
