Shooting of \'DAM 999\' to commence at Alappuzha from Mar one

KOCHI: The shooting of \'DAM 999\', set in the backdrop of a 100-year-old dam which in a state of impending collapse and explores the \'Navarasa\' concept, will begin from March 1 at Alappuzha.



The star cast of the film has Bollywood actors including Rajat Kapoor, Ashis Vidyarthi, Tamil actor Vinay Rai, Tulip Joshi and Hollywood actress Linta Assine, among others.



Malayalam actress Vimla Raman is also in the film.



The film is to be shot using 70mm 3D and has nine characters expressing nine emotions (navarasa), Film\'s Director, Sohan Roy, told reporters here.



Roy is also the Managing Director of Marine Biz TV network, which is producing the film.



The climax of the film will be shot at Ramoji Film city, Hyderabad, the world\'s largest film city.



Roy said veteran actor Thilakan has been selected to portray \"Shanta rasa\". \"But if the current controversy between Thilakan and Association of Malayalam movie Artists (AMMA) is not resolved, then the project will lose him,\" he said.
