KANNUR: The All Kerala Gramin Bank Staff Federation (AKGBSF) has demanded immediate implementation of the ninth bipartite wage settlement signed between nine unions of staff in commercial banks and their managements.
AKGBSF general secretary C.C. Premaraj said in a statement here that the ninth bipartite wage revision agreement signed on April 27 last should be implemented in Gramin banks without any delay.
As per the National Industrial Tribunal award and Supreme Court directions, Gramin banks staff were also governed by the bipartite settlements in commercial banks, he said, adding that the entire wage revision under the bipartite agreement should be implemented in Gramin banks.
He also said it was the right time to settle the long-pending issue of parity in pension with that of commercial banks. The Gamin bank staff should be given the option to choose the pension facility as in the commercial banks by expediting the calculations by the Pension Actuary already appointed by the Central government.
