Thiruvananthapuram : Minister for Power and Welfare of Scheduled and Backward Communities A.K. Balan on Thursday announced a slew of anniversary projects, including the commissioning of the 100-MW Kuttiyadi additional extension project on May 23.
Addressing the media here to brief his departments achievements on the fourth anniversary of the Left Democratic Front government, Mr. Balan said with the launch of the Kuttiyadi scheme, the State would have 196 MW ad
ded to its installed capacity . By the end of the current financial year, another 8 MW would be added, bringing the total to 204 MW.
The Minister said work on 20 hydroelectric schemes with a total capacity of 200 MW would be launched this year
