Mangrove park: panel report likely by Tuesday

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The multi-disciplinary team of scientists and officials, constituted by the chairman of the Kerala Coastal Zone Management Authority, is expected to submit its report on Tuesday on the mangrove theme park at Pappinisserry in Kannur. The team was entrusted to assess the damage to a stretch of mangroves at Pappinisserry, where a society backed by the CPI(M) had set up the park.

The team was constituted following a directive from the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests.
