Police meets Kerala lecturer whose hand was chopped off

Kochi: A police team investigating the attack on a lecturer, whose right hand was chopped off for preparing an allegedly inflammatory question paper, met him at hospital on Monday to gather information about the incident.

The team led by Muvattupuzha Deputy Superintendent of Police Sabu Mathew spoke to Prof T J Joseph and his sister, prime witnesses in the case about the attack.

Joseph was attacked by activists suspected to be that of Popular Front of India (PFI) for preparing a question paper which allegedly had derogatory references to Prophet Mohammed.
