Welfare scheme for madrasa teachers

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A welfare scheme for madrasa teachers will be launched in Kozhikode on July 24, Local Administration Minister Paloli Mohammed Kutty has said. While replying to questions in the Assembly on Wednesday, the Minister said the State government had so far allocated Rs.23 crore for taking up welfare schemes for the minorities as per the recommendations of the Rajinder Sachar Committee report.

District Collectors had been directed to give report for implementing the welfare schemes.

The government has given approval for 43 Buds Schools for differently abled children. It has been proposed to open one Buds School in each block panchayat. An institute to impart special training for teachers in such institutes will be opened in the State.
