THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan has said that the State is awaiting clarification from the Centre on the proposal for widening the national highways passing through Kerala.
Participating at a meet-the-press organised by the Kesari Memorial Journalists Trust here on Tuesday, Mr. Achuthanandan said an all-party delegation had sought 30-metre width for the highways on account of the fears and anxieties expressed by the people who were likely to be affected by the road-widening project and that any review of the position taken by the all-party meeting and an all-party delegation would have to wait for the Centres response to the States demand.
