KOCHI: It is a misconception that Gandhian philosophy was impractical as the practical aspects of the philosophy were evident in Swadeshi construction works, said M.M. Jacob, former Union Minister and governor.
He was speaking at the valedictory session of Swadeshi Festival at Gandhi Bhavan here. The exhibition of various Swadeshi products brought in from different parts of the State, stood testimony to the strength of the Swadeshi movement, said P.T. Thomas, MP, in his address. Jacob Pulikkan, director, Gandhi Centre for Rural Development; Parameswara Sarma, secretary, Poornodaya Book Trust; and A.R. Shafique, coordinator, Swadeshi Training, spoke.
