Thiruvananthapuram: The hartal call given by the Vaikunata Swamy Dharma Paripalana Sangham (VSDPS) to protest against the police action against some of their leaders last week evoked a partial response in the district.
Hartal supporters threw stones at four Kerala State Road Transport Corporation buses at Parassala. They smashed the windscreens of a KSRTC bus and a private bus at Kattakada. The police registered cases under the Prevention of Public Property Destruction Act. They said efforts were on to identify and arrest the miscreants.
