THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Potholes on roads under the Public Works Department (PWD) have been filled in the districts of Thiruvananthapuram and Pathanamthitta, said the office of Finance Minister T.M. Thomas Isaac.
In a press release issued here on Saturday, his office said the work was progressing vigorously all over the State although rain was causing difficulties.
The potholes on National Highways 47A and 213 too were filled on Friday.
Kozhikode division
The stretch of National Highway 17 passing through Kozhikode division too has been made free of potholes.
Dr. Isaac is monitoring the progress of the work on a day-to-day basis.
According to his office, 49,463 potholes on PWD roads spread across the length and breadth of the State have been filled so far.
Only 32,826 more potholes remained to be filled., the press note said
