24 students held on theft charges

Kozhikode: Twenty-four students, including 19 juveniles, have been arrested for allegedly stealing motorbikes, computers and automobile spare-parts from various parts of the city. Sixteen cases have been registered in this connection, the police said.

The city police produced the juveniles, studying in higher secondary schools in the city, before Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kozhikode, S.H. Panchapakesan, who is the chairman of the Juvenile Justice Board. They were released on bail.
