Kuttiyadi extension project inaugurated

Kozhikode: Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan has said that the electricity sector in the State achieved commendable improvement during the last four years of the LDF governance by reducing the transmission loss and streamlining the distribution.

Inaugurating the 100-MW Kuttiyadi Additional Extension Power Project at Kakkayam in the district on Saturday, the Chief Minister said the government would declare the State totally electrified within a year.

�During the last four years, the State could generate an additional 196 MW power through various schemes. The achievement is high while comparing with the 26 MW power generated during the tenure of the previous UDF government, the Chief Minister said and added that �work on no fewer than 30 projects is now progressing in the State with a mission to generate an additional 730 MW power.�
