THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Education Minister M.A. Baby said here on Tuesday that the State government would do more to improve the standard of education in the State.
He was speaking after laying the foundation stone of the guest house and training centre at the State Council for Educational Research (SCERT) headquarters here. The Minister said that the new facilities would help SCERT to lead educational activities in the State.
Mayor C. Jayan Babu, councillor Maheshwaran Nair, P. Govinda Pillai and SCERT director M.A. Khader were also present at the function.
The 50,000 square feet, six-floor guest house will have the facility to accommodate around 120 people at a time.
It will also have facilities like two multimedia conference halls, trainers halls, auditorium, seminar halls, technology room, canteen and faculty rooms.
