KOLLAM: A woman staying alone at Anchal Edamulakkal was gagged, tied to the cot and robbed by a three member gang at about 2 a.m. on Thursday. The gang that arrived in car gained entry into the house through the roof after removing some tiles.
On entering the house they woke up the woman, whipped out a knife and placed it against her neck warning her against raising any alarm. After gagging her and tying her up, they removed the ear rings she wore. From a box beneath the cot they snatched Rs. 5,000 and made away.
In a similar incident at Shakthikulangrara Poovanpuzha in the city, an elderly couple was robbed by a three-member gang also at about 2 a.m. on Thursday
