THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An integrated water resources management action plan for River Pampa will be drawn up by November, Water Resources Principal Secretary L. Radhakrishnan has said.
Mr. Radhakrishnan told reporters here on Thursday that the Action Plan Support Facility (APSF) facilitated by the Union Environment and Forests Ministry in collaboration with the European Union would be utilised for preparing the integrated plan for watershed-based development.
If the focus of the Pampa Action Plan was on drinking water and pollution of the river, the new plan would be drawn up for integrated use of water resources for tourism, agriculture, pilgrimage and drinking, among others, through pollution abatement.
The new plan would be integrated with the Pampa Action Plan
