KANNUR: Additional Director General (ADG) of the Territorial Army (TA) Major General A.D.S. Grewal interacted with jawans and officers of the 122 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) here as part of his two-day official visit to the TA unit that concluded on Sunday.
He was visiting the TA unit here for the first time after he assumed charge as the ADG of the TA. Battalion Commanding Officer Col. Davidson Kolath received Maj.Gen. Grewal at the battalion station. The second-in-command Lt.Col. Karan Bhagat and Subedar Major H. Vijayan were also present.
Appreciating the achievements of the Kannur Terriers, as the battalion is popularly known, he also expressed gratitude to the State government, the district administration and the public for their co-operation to the battalion. Battalion authorities said that he also expressed full satisfaction over the standard of training and other activities. Maj.Gen. Grewal explained the reforms being planned in the Territorial Army units across the country as well as future programmes and welfare activities. He had also participated as a guest at the passing out parade at the Indian Naval Academy at Ezhimala here on June 5.
