Thiruvananthapuram: Influenza A (H1N1) infection continues to spread rapidly across the State, with 30 new cases and one death being confirmed on Friday.
Of the new cases, 16 were reported from Thiruvananthapuram.
Seven cases were confirmed from Kollam, three from Kannur and one case each was reported from Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Malappuram.
On Friday, six persons were quarantined in hospital and 39 were advised to go on home quarantine.
Forty-seven throat swabs were sent for lab analysis on Friday
