KOCHI: It was yet another occasion for former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam to get closer to the young minds of Kochi.
A few hundreds of students from various schools on Sunday gathered at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan auditorium to listen to the man who ignited scientific temper among the people through his lectures.
The function, organised by the Swadeshi Science Movement, had the stamp of Mr. Kalams presence characterised by camaraderie and intellectual interaction.
Many of the students had come prepared to ask questions to Mr. Kalam.
The interaction was scheduled towards the end of the programme.
As Mr. Kalam announced his readiness, the organisers were interested in allowing four children to ask questions directly.
But Mr. Kalam went a step ahead, asking six children to come forward. The opportunity went to those who rushed to the front.
