Capital to get drinking water bottling plant

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Even as the proposals for world class standards for Thiruvananthapuram Central station and operating centre at adjoining Nemom remain in paper, the capital has been gifted with one of the six drinking water bottling plants announced by Union Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee in the Railway budget.

The plant will be set up through Public Private Partnership for providing clean and low-priced bottled drinking water. Another proposal beneficial to the capital is the survey of the Chengannur-Adoor-Thiruvananthapuram route via Kottarakara.
